Cara Lavada is a collective from the city of Ponta Delgada focused on interdisciplinary, experimental and ongoing artistic intervention, creation and production.

The Centro Cultural da Caloura challenged the collective to reimagine its collection, exploring new narratives and perspectives through their creative and curatorial process. In solstitium, the Cara Lavada collective explores the theme of identity, anchored in the reflection presented by Milan Kundera in the following quote:

“The serial number of a human specimen is the face, that accidental and unrepeatable combination of features.”
